Holes 1-6 Holes 7-12 holes 13-18

Holes 7 to 12:

There are some great holes to be played within this mid section of the course,  which takes you an elevated position down to near sea level as you move into the back nine holes.  Click on any of the pictures below to see a larger image.

7th Hole:  "Long" - 591 Yard Par 5

Although this is a long Par 5, there is plenty of room available of the fairways with plenty of carry to help to get you to the green!  Bunkers are positioned to the right which catch a stray tee shot and grass bunkers down the right side can present an interesting challenge.  There is plenty of room to play down the left on this hole.

Playing from an elevated tee, you have the ideal opportunity to take a seat and enjoy a panoramic view of the course, the fells, Irish Sea and the South West of Scotland.
9th Hole: "Newmill" - 387 Yard Par 4

From the ninth tee shot you have the choice to play to a safe position on the elevated fairway or for the long hitters you can try to land on the lower fairway shown in the photograph.  Look out with your approach shot for a stream running to the right of the green!

The fantastic 10th hole which is the signature hole for the course.  Although only a short Par 3, the green is surrounded by bunkers and a stream running to the right.  A recent feature that has been added to the course is a footbridge that can be seen in this picture.
11th Hole: "Calder" - 470 Yard Par 4

The long 11th hole has a wide fairway with out of bounds running to the right.  Although this looks like a straight forwards hole, most are happy with a 5!

Similar to the 11th hole yet somewhat shorter, plenty of room to land the ball but watch out for the out of bounds to the right.
